Spring Nashville Activities: How to Explore the Music City

Now that spring has arrived, it’s time to get outdoors and explore the Nashville area. The city has many of fun things to do this time of year, from live music to festivals. That’s why we’ve created a list of the top things to do in Nashville this spring. There’s truly something for everyone, so don’t hesitate to get out and do something.

According to Visit Music City, one of the top spring Nashville activities is the Nashville Comedy Festival. Held from April 16th to 22nd, this festival will bring some of the funniest comedians around to country to the area. Special guests include Jeff Dunham, Tim Allen, and “Weird Al” Yankovic, among others. If you love to laugh (and who doesn’t?), you need to come to this event.

Check out the Nashville Film Festival from May 10th to May 19th. You don’t have to be a film buff to appreciate the many great films that will be screened in Nashville, which is actually one of the longest-running film festivals in the US. There will be over 280 films from over 55 countries, including categories like documentaries, animated films, experimental works, and traditional narrative works.

Finally, visit the Iroquois Steeplechase on May 12th. This is the ultimate series of horse races—seven in total—an event that includes more than 25,000 spectators every year. Held at Percy Warner Park, the Iroquois Steeplechase is a must-see event.
