The new Ford Bronco R race prototype participated at the popular SCORE Baja 1000 recently. The exciting race took place shortly after SCORE-International Off-Road Racing gave Ford the title of Official Truck and SUV.
SCORE and Ford first collaborated on the SCORE Baja 1000, and they will continue collaborating until the 2022 SCORE World Desert Challenge Series reaches its end. Furthermore, Ford is the lead sponsor of 13 different races taking place during the SCORE World Desert Challenge Series. These races include the SCORE Baja 1000, the SCORE Baja 500, the SCORE Baja 500 and the San Felipe 250.
Even at other events related to SCORE, Ford will be present. One such event is the Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo, which takes place in Pomona, California, annually.
“Working with SCORE makes great sense based on our truck, SUV and off-road heritage, and especially with some of our future Ford trucks and SUVs including the reveal of the new Bronco next spring,” said Mark Rushbrook, global director, Ford Performance motorsports.
The partnership began shortly after the Ford Bronco R race prototype was unveiled. Ford Performance and Geiser Performance of Phoenix collaborated on the prototype, which honors the Bronco win during the 1969 Baja 1000.
